中央电视台英语新闻频道 英语频道定位从以新闻为主的综合频道调整为新闻频道。频道的名称确定为：中央电 视台英语新闻频道，频道的标识从CCTV-9调整为CCTV News。全新的英语新闻频道将以新闻资讯报道为主，辅以深度报道和评论节目，同时将保留少量的纪实类专题节目，更全面地介绍中国的发展变化。 英语新闻频道在报道好中国的同时，将把亚洲作为报道重点，代表中国声音、亚洲声音的英语新闻频道为观众观察世界提供"东方的角度"。 英语新闻频道将是一个更"国际化"的频道，它有一颗"中国芯"，但在报道理念、报道手法、报道形态上将遵从国际传播的规律。 英语新闻频道新闻节目的容量从现有十五个小时，提高到近十九个小时，形成廿四小时整点有新闻，综合新闻、分类新闻、深度报道、评论节目相互配合的完整的新闻体系。
