Hungover from a night of drinking, Mun-young bids her husband and daughter goodbye as they leave the house. Later, she receives an urgent call that her husband did not turn up at the office.

Mun-young refuses to conclude the case without an autopsy, but her attempts are in vain. She tries to find the witness Do Jin-woo, after learning that her husband’s last client is dead.

Mun-young hears the firing of a gun and finds a wounded Jin-woo. She makes a police report after discovering a trespasser in the house late at night.

Mun-young’s search leads her to an unexpected reunion, but she remains doubtful about the truth. Jin-woo claims to recall the person who shot him.

Mun-young asks for help to investigate about Ha Yeon-joo. She begins to run errands for Yeon-joo, in place of her husband.

Mun-young questions Yeon-joo’s intentions, but the latter claims that the ball is in Mun-young’s court. Jin-woo makes a deal with Mun-young in exchange for his silence.
